This is the distribution's first stable release
in nearly 15 months. "The CRUX team is happy to
announce the release of CRUX 3.3. CRUX 3.3 comes
with a multilib toolchain which includes glibc
2.24, GCC 6.3.0 and Binutils 2.27. Kernel -
Linux 4.9.6. CRUX 3.3 ships with X.Org 7.7 and
X.Org Server 1.19.1. The ISO image is processed
with isohybrid and is suitable for burning on a
CD and putting on a USB drive. UEFI support is
available during installation with dosfstools,
efibootmgr, and grub2-efi added to the image.
Important libraries have been updated to new
major versions which are not ABI compatible with
the old versions. We strongly advise against
manually updating to CRUX 3.3 via ports, since
these changes will temporarily break the
system."

The project has released a new stable version of
the OPNsense operating system, version 17.1.
"The OPNsense team is proud to announce the
final availability of version 17.1, nicknamed
Eclectic Eagle. This major release features
FreeBSD 11.0, the SSH remote installer, new
languages Italian / Czech / Portuguese,
state-of-the-art HardenedBSD security features,
PHP 7.0, new plugins for FTP Proxy / Tinc VPN /
Let's Encrypt, native PAM authentication against
e.g. 2FA (TOTP), as well a rewritten Nano-style
card images that adapt to media size to name
only a few. We would like to encourage everyone
to supervise this major upgrade physically. As
such, it cannot be performed from the GUI.
Instead, go to the root console menu, choose
option 12 and type '17.1' at the prompt. The
process will download a full set of updates and
reboot multiple. All operating system files and
packages will be re-installed as a consequence."

The new version, Bodhi Linux 4.1.0, is an update
to the project's 4.x.x series and is mostly a
bug-fix release. "Today I am happy to announce
the first scheduled update release of the Bodhi
Linux 4 branch - Bodhi Linux 4.1.0. This release
serves to package up the fixes for a few bugs
that slipped through the cracks in the 4.0.0
release, as well as provided updated package
sets for the install ISO images. Most notably
these ISO images come with EFL 1.18.4, Linux
Kernel 4.8, and a new Moksha Theme based on the
'Arc Dark' theme. Existing Bodhi 4.0.0 users
already have the bug fixes incorporated into
these ISO images, but they will need to manually
install the newer kernel and theme if they wish
to utilize them."
