Fixed UID/GID issue and restored live and installed UID/GID to '1000'. Updated to 4.4.6-RT kernel with fixed 32-bit app support and VBox module building support. Enabled running shell scripts by clicking in Thunar to ease installing Ardour and Mixbus bundles. Fixed WinFF presets for aac encoding. Added some module configurationss for AMD video cards and modesetting. Complete new Zukitre-based theme necessitated by GTK+ 3.20, changing its API and breaking older GTK+ 3 themes. Complete new Hooli theme for AVL 32-bit. Complete removal of Kdenlive and KDE 5 runtime components, Kdenlive is simply not in a good place right now to feature on a live ISO image. Removed Openshot for the same reason as Kdenlive, it has great potential but just isn't there yet.. Complete removal of LibreOffice.

The wattOS team is pleased to announce the release of the newest version of wattOS, Release 10 (also known as R10). Built on the latest version of Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS for long-term support and stability. The Microwatt edition will not be released until a later date (look to the forums for details). wattOS R10 LXDE 32-bit and 64-bit are available now. What's new? A continued focus to try and provide a clean basic desktop with a few key applications that you can then add whatever tools you like for a modern clean desktop without the clutter.

The Fedora project is pleased to announce the immediate availability of the Fedora 25 alpha, an important milestone on the road to our Fedora 25 release in November." With the release announcement unusually void any meaningful details about the release and a complete absence of any release notes, the best document describing Fedora 25 is this Releases/25/ChangeSet page on the Fedora wiki. On the technical side, this alpha release of Fedora 25 comes with a recent development build of the Linux kernel (4.8-rc2) while the Workstation edition runs the GNOME-Shell 3.21.3 desktop, which is also a development build.

We also have two new GUI system tools, both developed in-house. The first one, GUEFI, is a graphical boot manager for UEFI systems and therefore is only available on 64-bit installations using UEFI. You can use it to create/delete/edit/rearrange UEFI boot entries and I don't think there is any other distribution out there with anything similar. Then, we have gtkreposetup, which is the GTK+ counterpart to the console reposetup tool, and which you can use to select your preferred repository mirror. With respect to other software included in this release, Xfce has been upgraded to 4.12. The main browser has been changed back to Firefox. The Firefox package now also includes langpacks for the most popular languages too, so it will most probably also be presented in your native language without having to install anything extra.
