Qubes OS 4.2.4 torrent

Qubes OS, a security-oriented operating system that uses Xen-based virtualization to create and manage isolated compartments called qubes, has been updated to version 4.2.4. Besides the usual security updates and bug fixes, the new version also upgrades the included Fedora template to version 41. "We are pleased to announce the stable release of Qubes OS 4.2.4. This patch release aims to consolidate all the security patches, bug fixes and other updates that have occurred since the previous stable release. The Netrunner team has announced the release of Netrunner 25, a desktop Linux distribution based on Debian's latest "stable" branch and featuring the KDE Plasma desktop. This version is the project's first build based on Debian 12; it ships with Linux kernel 6.1 and KDE Plasma 5.27: "The Netrunner team is happy to announce the release of Netrunner 25 'Shockworm', a 64-bit ISO image. Netrunner 25 ships with all the latest security updates provided by Debian and a beautiful new wallpaper showing this release's new code name. deepin 25 Preview

The deepin project has introduced a new development snapshot, called "25 Preview", which offers immutable mount points and atomic updates: "Core system files of solid are mounted with read-only permissions. Software and drivers can be installed as system extensions. Supports disabling, updating, and managing system extensions. Atomic updates improve system update speed using incremental data. Automatic rollback to the last backup if updates fail or the system is unbootable. Supports worry-free restoration configuration, enabling instant system recovery after a reboot. Backup and restore snapshots provide ultra-fast backup speeds in seconds with minimal disk space usage (compatible with backup and restore tools). Deepin desktop environment has undergone comprehensive optimization, including QML restructuring of the Control Center and Notification Center. From visual design to interaction, core functions have been upgraded, delivering a more intuitive and user-friendly graphical interface. The desktop environment has also been redesigned to include thoughtful new features, significantly improving user experience. Linux Mint 22.1

The Linux Mint team have published an update to the project's 22.x series. The new release, Linux Mint 22.1, modernizes the APT packaging tools, introduces new power modes to help uses find a balance between battery life and performance, and Cinnamon now provides a Night Light service which will reduce blue light exposure. "Choosing a power mode allows you to balance between power saving and performance optimization. The following power modes are available on all computers: Power-saver mode - limits performance to conserve energy; Balanced mode - adjusts performance based on your needs. On supported systems, an additional Performance mode is available. This mode maximizes performance at the cost of increased power consumption. Power-saving modes reduce performance but can extend battery life, reduce heat generation, lower CPU frequency, and decrease fan noise. Note that the system may override user settings based on the selected mode to adjust display brightness or make temporary adjustments to further reduce power consumption or enhance performance. In Cinnamon, you can select the power mode by navigating to Preferences, Power Management."
