We announce the availability of Point Linux 3.2. Despite that fact that this is a minor release, it has some notable changes and bug fixes: inability to install from custom-made Flash drives fixed; Firefox package replaced with Debian's firefox-esr; Thunderbird is not installed by default; Flash plugin removed due to security reasons; Plymouth theme changed to spinner; up-to-date Debian packages; do not show 'virtualbox kernel service is not running' banner; boot from local drive ability fixed in live CD boot menu.

Upgrades and changes: Replace Vidalia, which has been unmaintained for years with a system status icon indicating whether Tails is connected to Tor or not, Onion Circuits to display a list of the current Tor circuits and connections. Automatically save the database of KeePassX after every change to prevent data loss when shutting down....

The ROSA company gladly presents ROSA Desktop Fresh GNOME R7 - a distribution from the ROSA Desktop Fresh family with the GNOME 3 desktop environment. As always, the distribution presents a vast collection of games, emulators and the Steam platform package, along with standard suites of audio and video communications software, including the newest version of Skype. All modern video formats are supported. The distribution includes the fresh LibreOffice version. This distribution contains GNOME 3.16 with new user-friendly notifications and a system tray. In this distribution we have replaced the old ROSA Elementary theme with a new Korora for GNOME Shell and EvoPop for GTK+. We have also replaced the icons. In LibreOffice we start using new grey icons.

The Sabayon project, which produces a Gentoo-based distribution that provides a great deal of functionality out of the box, has released Sabayon 16.02. The new release mostly features updates to the distribution's utilities and desktop environments. The new version also introduces initial support for the ARM architecture. "We released the tech preview for Raspberry Pi 2, and you can download it here, meanwhile the tree is getting in shape and we are setting up the infrastructure to build images also for other devices, for more information, read here. Udoo and Odroid are the next in the queue." The Sabayon project provides a wide range of editions, including builds for GNOME, KDE, MATE, Xfce along with a Server edition.
