Debian-based desktop Linux distribution designed primarily for old older and reconditioned computers donated to humanitarian organisations. Besides shipping with an updated base system, the new version also adds the Ventoy utility, an open-source tool for creating bootable USB drives from ISO image files: "The Emmabunt?s Collective is happy to announce the release of the Emmabunt?s 'Debian' Edition 4 1.01 update (32-bit and 64-bit), based on the Debian 11.2 'Bullseye' distribution and supporting both Xfce and LXQt desktop environments. This new update of our distribution brings the addition of the Ventoy utility as part of our re-use campaign launched in early September 2020 in collaboration with our friends from Debian-Facile and Tugaleres.com in France, as well as Blabla Linux in Belgium, as we have just put online a second version of our refurbishing USB flash drive now based on Ventoy. The advantage of using Ventoy instead of MultiSystem is that it allows the creation of this key on GNU/Linux and Windows."

The Linux Mint team has announced the release of Linux Mint 20.3 which is available in Cinnamon, MATE, and Xfce flavours. The distribution has polished a number of its desktop applications and utilities. "The Hypnotix IPTV player looks better than ever, thanks to Dark Mode support and a new set of flags:The Hypnotix IPTV player: A new search function was added so you can easily find TV channels, movies and series. In addition to M3U and local playlists, the IPTV player now also supports the Xtream API. Thingy: Linux Mint 20.3 introduces a brand new XApp called Thingy. Thingy is a Document Manager. It gives you a quick access to your favorite and recently opened documents and keeps track of your reading progress. Sticky Notes: The Sticky Notes application now has a search function. The look of the notes was improved by embedding the title within the note. Multiple text size: A new control was added inside the notes toolbar to control the size of the text. Theme Changes: Linux Mint 20.3 features an updated look and feel with larger titlebar buttons, rounded corners, a cleaner theme and support for dark mode. Titlebars and corners: The titlebars were quite small. We made them rounder with bigger buttons to make the desktop look more pleasant and generous. The hover zone around the icons was also widened to make it easier to press the buttons."

Manjaro Linux 21.2.0, an updated version of the project's rolling-release distribution featuring the continually-improved Calamares installer and the latest versions of Xfce, GNOME and KDE Plasma desktops: "Since we released Pahvo Mid-Season this year all our developer teams worked hard to get the next release of Manjaro out there. We call it 'Qonos'. This release features major improvements to Calamares, including filesystem selection for automatic partitioning and enhanced support for Btrfs. For Btrfs installations, the default subvolume layout has been improved for easier rollbacks and less wasted space on snapshots. Additionally, swapfiles on Btrfs filesystem are now supported. The GNOME edition has received a major rework - update to GNOME 41.2. The default layout has been redesigned to follow more closely upstream defaults, with some adjustments to reduce the pointer travel for users who prefer using mouse with gnome."
