Fedora 31. The new version includes a special isolated container feature called Fedora Toolbox. "If you haven't used the Fedora Toolbox, this is a great time to try it out. This is a simple tool for launching and managing personal workspace containers, so you can do development or experiment in an isolated experience. It's as simple as running 'toolbox Enter' from the command line. This containerized workflow is vital for users of the ostree-based Fedora variants like CoreOS, IoT, and Silverblue, but is also extremely useful on any workstation or even server system. The project's latest version, MX Linux 19, is based on Debian 10.1 "Buster" and features the Xfce 4.14 desktop along with the SysV init software. "We are pleased to offer MX-19 for your use. As usual, this ISO includes the latest updates from Debian 10.1 (Buster), antiX and MX repos. Xfce 4.14, GIMP 2.10.12, MESA 18.3.6, updated firmware, Latest debian 4.19 kernel, patched sudo info. Browser: Firefox 69; Video Player: VLC 3.0.8; Music Manager/Player: Clementine 1.3.1; E-mail client: Thunderbird 60.9.0; Office suite: LibreOffice 6.1.5 (plus security fixes); and more in the MX repositories. New and updated mx-apps: mx-installer (based on gazelle-installer) fixes pertaining to automount and partitioning. MX Date & Time, to make clock setting chores easier. formatusb, for formatting USB storage devices. mx-packageinstaller now displays version number for Flatpak applications. mx-packageinstaller now features libreoffice upgrades from Debian Backports (currently 6.3.X). mx-alerts package for sending emergency messages to users. mx-updater no longer requires a password to check for updates (still required for installation of updates). "Upstream MATE Desktop recently released 1.22.2. All the updates are present in Ubuntu MATE 19.10 plus I've cherry picked a good deal of fixes from MATE Desktop development snapshots. In total, 67 additional patches have been applied to the MATE desktop packages in Ubuntu MATE 19.10 to fine tune this release prior to launch day. Included in those patches are fixes for locking the screen on resume from suspend, adding a Media Information extension to the file manager, performance improvements for the window manager and cycling external displays using Super + p. All this work has also been submitted to Debian. Since the final beta we worked on the following: added experimental ZFS install option; fixed rendering window controls on HiDPI displays; fixed irregular icon sizes in MATE Control Center and made them render nicely on HiDPI displays; fixed Caja extensions not loading." In addition, Thunderbird has been replaced by Evolution as the default e-mail client and GNOME MPV has replaced VLC. Both of the replaced applications are still available in the distribution's repositories.

"SparkyLinux 5.9 "Nibiru" is out. This is a quarterly update of live/install media of the stable line, which is based on Debian 10 "Buster". The base system has been upgraded from Debian stable repos as of October 4, 2019. It works on the Linux kernel 4.19.67 LTS. As usually, new ISO/IMG images provide small bug fixes and improvements as well. Sparky project page and Sparky forums got new skins; no big changes about the colors but they are much mobile devices friendly now. Nemomen finished translating Sparky tools to Hungarian (thanks a lot), but many of them still waiting for adding to packages."

SolydXK is a Debian-based desktop distribution which is available in two main editions: Xfce and KDE Plasma. The project's latest release builds on technology from Debian Buster and fixes a number of bugs. "The SolydXK Team has worked long and hard to create yet another solid release. We are proud to announce SolydXK 10 based on Debian Buster! Highlights: Based on Debian Buster 10.1 release with the latest kernel version 4.19. Live ISO can now be booted with localisation support. New GRUB2 theme. The USB Creator was rebuilt from scratch to improve stability, speed and maintainability. Many bugs were resolved and we changed the SolydXK Firefox settings even further to improve user privacy. This is done in the firefox-solydxk-adjustments package which can be purged if you don't need it. We thouroughly cleaned up the ISOs removing any packages that are not strictly needed without compromising system stability and safety."
