Kubuntu 17.04 released. Code-named 'Zesty Zapus', Kubuntu 17.04 continues our proud tradition of integrating the latest and greatest open source technologies into a high-quality, easy-to-use Linux distribution. The team has been hard at work through this cycle, introducing new features and fixing bugs. Under the hood, there have been updates to many core packages, including a new 4.10-based Linux kernel, KDE Frameworks 5.31, Plasma 5.9.4 and KDE Applications 16.12.3. The Kubuntu desktop has seen some exciting improvements, with newer versions of Qt, updates to major packages like Krita, Kdenlive, Firefox and LibreOffice, and stability improvements to the Plasma desktop environment.

We've just wrapped up a fun release cycle, and it's my pleasure to announce Rockstor 3.9.0. Our community has been really active and we've prioritized nicely to improve on a few different areas. Five contributors have come together for this release and besides working on new features and bug fixes, we made significant improvements to code quality. phillxnet has made a big enhancement to the disk management subsystem. I've made large code quality improvement to backend Python stack. MFlyer collaborated with me on that and took upon himself to do the same for all of Javascript stack. He made several ninja style contributions and helped fix many bugs. I'd say this is a nice release with some new stuff and a bunch of useful maintenance updates.

The NetBSD project is pleased to announce NetBSD 7.1, the first feature update of the NetBSD 7 release branch. It represents a selected subset of fixes deemed important for security or stability reasons, as well as new features and enhancements. Some highlights of the 7.1 release are: support for Raspberry Pi Zero; initial DRM/KMS support for NVIDIA graphics cards via nouveau (disabled by default, uncomment nouveau and nouveaufb in your kernel config to test); the addition of vioscsi, a driver for the Google Compute Engine disk; Linux compatibility improvements, allowing, the use of Adobe Flash Player 24.
