The beta images are known to be reasonably free of showstopper image build or installer bugs, while representing a very recent snapshot of 20.04 LTS that should be representative of the features intended to ship with the final release expected on April 23rd, 2020."

The Amnesic Incognito Live System (Tails) is a Debian-based live DVD/USB with the goal of providing complete Internet anonymity for the user. The project's latest release, Tails 4.5, fixes a security vulnerability in the Firefox web browser and provides support for Secure Boot. "New features: Tails now starts on computers with Secure Boot enabled. If your Mac displays the following error: 'Security settings do not allow this Mac to use an external startup disk.' Then you have to change the settings of the Startup Security Utility of your Mac to authorize starting from Tails. Changes and updates: Update Tor Browser to 9.0.9. This update fixes several vulnerabilities in Firefox, including some critical ones. Mozilla is aware of targeted attacks in the wild abusing this vulnerability."

The NetBSD team have announced a new release of the project's highly portable operating system. The new version, NetBSD 8.2, provides minor updates and fixes to the project's 8.x series. "The third release in the NetBSD-8 is now available. This release includes all the security fixes in NetBSD-8 up until this point, and other fixes deemed important for stability. Some highlights include: x86: fixed regression in booting old CPUs. x86: Hyper-V Gen.2 VM framebuffer support. httpd(8): fixed various security issues. ixg(4): various fixes / improvements. x86 efiboot: add tftp support, fix issues on machines with many memory segments, improve graphics mode logic to work on more machines.
