The MX Linux team have published an update to their 21.x series. The new update, MX Linux 21.1, includes a refreshed Debian base, a new tool for configuring Samba shares, and updated hardware support. The release announcement reports We are pleased to offer MX-21.1 for your use. MX-21.1 is the first refresh of our MX-21 release, consisting of bugfixes, kernels, and application updates since our original release of MX-21. If you are already running MX-21, there is no need to reinstall. Packages are all available thru the regular update channel. Highlights include Debian 11.3 Bullseye base new and updated applications Disk-manager returns to the official ISOs mx-samba-config for a desktop-agnostic way of configuring Samba CIFS usershares mx-installer received several improvements.

New UEFI live system boot menus. UEFI live users can now select your live boot options (persistence, etc) from the boot menu and sub-menus rather than using the previous console menus. Xfce 4.16, Plasma 5.20, Fluxbox 1.3.7 with mx-fluxbox 3.0 configs. User password (sudo) for admin tasks by default. You can switch this in mx-tweak->Other tab. MX-Tour showing an overview of each desktop environment. Translation updates! MX-Comfort default theming, including dark variants and 'thick border' Xfwm variants. Mesa Vulkan drivers are installed by default. Better Realtek wi-fi support. A ton of customization and custom scripts in MX-Fluxbox."

MX Linux, a desktop-oriented Linux distribution with a choice of Xfce or KDE Plasma and based on Debian's latest stable release, has been updated to version 19.3: "We are pleased to offer MX Linux 19.3 for your use. MX Linux 19.3 is the third refresh of our MX 19 release, consisting of bug fixes and application updates since our original release of MX 19. If you are already running MX 19, there is no need to re-install. Packages are all available through the regular update channel. The standard MX Linux 19.3 releases (32-bit and 64-bit) feature the latest Debian 4.19 Linux kernel and, unlike in the past, the kernel will now auto-update along with Debian sources by default. The AHS (Advanced Hardware Support) ISO image features a Debian 5.8 Linux kernel, MESA 20, as well as a new updated firmware package. The KDE ISO image has also been updated and, being based on AHS, also has the 5.8 Linux kernel, together with updated firmware and MESA packages."
