Manjaro Linux 24.2.0 KDE

The new release updates the default Linux kernel to version 6.12: "Manjaro Linux 24.2 'Yonada' released. Since we released Xahea in October 2024, we worked hard to get the next release of Manjaro out there. We call it 'Yonada'. The GNOME edition has received several updates to GNOME 47 series. This includes a lot of fixes and polish when GNOME 47.2 was originally was in September 2024. The Plasma edition comes with the latest Plasma 6.2 series, Frameworks 6.8 and KDE Gear 24.08. Plasma 6 has come into its own over the last two releases. The wrinkles that always come with a major migration have been ironed out, and it's time to start delivering on the promises of the new Qt 6 and Wayland technology platforms that Plasma is built on top of. Kernel 6.12 is used for this release, such as the latest drivers available to date. With 6.6 LTS and 6.1 LTS we offer additional support for older hardware as needed."

The Emmabuntüs project is a desktop Linux distribution with editions based on Debian's Stable branch with both the Xfce and LXQt desktop environments available. The project has fixed some issues with the ISO which could cause problems when used with specific image writers. The new Emmabuntüs DE5-1.03 release also improves braille support. GhostBSD 24.10.1

The GhostBSD project has announced the arrival of GhostBSD 24.10.1, the latest update to this desktop-oriented branch of the FreeBSD family. The new release focuses on driver updates and improvements. It also fixes some issues with booting on Legacy BIOS systems and introduces support for watching Netflix in the Chromium web browser. "We're excited to announce the release of GhostBSD 24.10.1! This release brings system updates from FreeBSD and better hardware compatibility with some old AMD Radeon and FirePro GPU. We resolved live session startup issues with Legacy BIOS and started to fix some issues with Update Station functionality."
