"Since we released 'Sikaris' in December 2022, we worked hard to get the next release of Manjaro out there. We call it 'Talos'. The GNOME edition has received several updates to GNOME 43 series. It includes a lot of fixes and polish when GNOME 43 was originally released in September 2022. It comes with a redesigned system status menu, which allows quickly changing commonly-used settings. Settings which previously required digging into menus can now be changed with a click of button. The new design also makes it easy to see the status of your settings at a glance. Our in-house Layouts Switcher application has gained some new features as well as various improvements and fixes - now you can create your own dynamic wallpaper. With Gradience you can customize your theme from within the application. There are many presets available to choose from or you can create your own."

Manjaro Linux 21.2.0, an updated version of the project's rolling-release distribution featuring the continually-improved Calamares installer and the latest versions of Xfce, GNOME and KDE Plasma desktops: "Since we released Pahvo Mid-Season this year all our developer teams worked hard to get the next release of Manjaro out there. We call it 'Qonos'. This release features major improvements to Calamares, including filesystem selection for automatic partitioning and enhanced support for Btrfs. For Btrfs installations, the default subvolume layout has been improved for easier rollbacks and less wasted space on snapshots. Additionally, swapfiles on Btrfs filesystem are now supported. The GNOME edition has received a major rework - update to GNOME 41.2. The default layout has been redesigned to follow more closely upstream defaults, with some adjustments to reduce the pointer travel for users who prefer using mouse with gnome."

The new release, Manjaro Linux 16.10, offers mostly package upgrades, including systemd 231 and the Plasma 5.8 desktop environment. "We have now Plasma 5.8.2, Firefox 49.0, Nvidia 370.28, LibreOffice 5.1.6, Systemd 231, Octopi 0.8.5 and Pamac 4.1.5 added to these install medias. Calamares 2.4.3 has following highlights: fixed user creation so it obeys the list of default groups for new users; added Deepin support to the display manager module; fixed an issue which could cause a failed install with LUKS if other LUKS partitions are already present; improved system requirements configuration checking; fixed case-insensitive path handling when installing GRUB on VFAT file systems...."

Some features to point out in this release: Kernel 4.4 LTS is used for this release, such as the latest drivers available to date. Relative to the last installation media release, our tools have been improved and polished. The Manjaro Settings Manager (MSM) now provides an easy-to-use graphical interface for installing and removing the many series of kernels we offer. Manjaro's selection of available kernels remains the most extensive of all Linux distribution we know of. At the time of this 16.06 release, eleven kernel-series are available directly from our binary repositories, ranging from the mature and rock-solid 3.10 series to the latest 4.6 release.

Phil Müller has announced the release of Manjaro Linux 0.8.12, a new stable release of the Arch Linux-based distribution with separate editions featuring Xfce and KDE desktops: "We're happy to announce the 0.8.12 release of Manjaro Linux installation media, including images for the Xfce and KDE 4 desktop environments, and our minimal 'Net' edition. Great progress is being made with our new 0.9 series installation media that uses the Calamares installer, along with our new KDE Plasma 5 installation media, but since neither is quite ready yet we're providing updated 0.8 series installation media that uses our legacy installer, Thus. This release is predominantly a maintenance release and includes very few changes to system defaults relative to the previous 0.8.11 ISO images, with some notable exceptions, such as out-of-the-box support for the exFAT file system and the change to Pacman 4.2."
