wattOS R13

wattOS is a fast desktop Linux distribution based on Debian. Using the lightweight Openbox window manager as its default user interface, the distribution strives to be as energy-efficient as possible. Univention Corporate Server 5.0-6

Univention Corporate Server (UCS) is an enterprise-class distribution based on Debian GNU/Linux. The project's latest release focuses on bug fixes and tightening security. "In the last three months we have released 47 security updates, most of them from the Debian base distribution. However, we have also fixed security-relevant errors in the Univention packages, e.g. password leaks via the process list. We have also further stabilized the Univention Management Console (UMC) when connecting to the individual UMC modules. We have improved the way the Univention Directory Manager (UDM) handles inconsistent user capitalization. Some data is now updated atomically by the portal, which avoids certain error patterns, and the self service now translates the forms correctly in all cases."

Finnix is a small, self-contained, bootable Linux distribution for system administrators, based on Debian. The project has published version 125 which attempts to offer more flexible package management through a combination of Debian s Testing and Unstable repositories. Today marks the release of Finnix 125, the original utility live Linux distribution. Finnix 125 includes a number of fixes, new packages and new features Linux kernel 6.1 Debian package 6.1.0-6 . New packages 2048, aespipe, iperf3, ncdu, netcat-traditional, ninvaders, vitetris. Note that netcat-openbsd continues to be included and is the default nc. apt update will now download both testing and unstable indices, to allow for installing packages which may currently be hinted out of Testing. Apt pinning is configured so Testing will continue to be preferred to Unstable, however. Updated to memtest86+ 6.10, which now includes a UEFI version which is included in the Utilities boot sub-menu when booting on a UEFI system. The Sparky team has published a new update to the distribution's semi-rolling branch which presents users with software from Debian's development "Bookworm" branch. The project's release announcement lists the following changes: "Sparky 2021.09 of the (semi-)rolling line is out; it is based on Debian Testing 'Bookworm'.
